The history of the tournament

The inaugural Alan Belcher 10% Trophy in 2009 at Celtic Manor resort was a well contested tournament with 60 golfers making up the 15 teams vying for the trophy. The 2010 event saw 12 teams competing for the trophy at Parc Golf Club with 46 golfers participating.

Each tournament has been followed by an evening of dinner and dancing for up to 150 guests complete with a well stocked auction and raffle. Previous auctions have included a signed Lewis Hamilton Formula One driver's shirt, a signed 2009 British Lions rugby shirt, a laptop computer, a four ball on Celtic Manor's 2010 course and a whole Welsh lamb.

The events have been loads of fun and really well supported by Alan's friends and family with over £7,000 raised so far for an excellent cause.

Congratulations to the 2010 winners and current holders of Alan Belcher 10% Trophy - Jimmy Parrott, Bobby Thomas, Ryan Scaife and Christian Scott. Congratulations too to Alex Lancaster for this year's best individual round and to Gareth Dyer for retaining the "Best Endeavour" title...!
